Following ground work at the site and almost four days of assembly, we completed the work of erecting the crane to its operating position. It is an awesome machine – a crawler crane with a load capacity of up to an incredible 750 t, specifications which no other machine comes close to in the Czech Republic or Slovakia.
During its work in Pankrác, which should last until roughly the first week of September, the crane will be moving steel structure for the roofs of three buildings. It will be placing its heaviest load, of approx. 46 t, more than 90 metres from its centre pin.
The jib in the photograph is 119 m long, and it can be set up with a possible jib length of up to 190 m.
